Statement of Faith

The Bible - We believe the verbally, infallible inspired Word of God, and is the all-sufficient and final authority for our faith and practice.

The One True God - We believe in one God eternally existing in one essence, yet three Persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Lord Jesus Christ - We believe that Jesus Christ, is fully God and fully man, was born of the virgin Mary; in his sinless life; in his substitutionary and atoning death, in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ and His ascension into heaven, and that He will one day return to establish His kingdom.

The Holy Spirit - We believe the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son; that He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and that He ministers by indwelling, guiding, teaching, empowering the believer.

Creation - We believe the Genesis account of God’s creation of the universe out of nothing by His spoken Word, and His creation of mankind.

Salvation - We believe salvation is wholly the work of God, and that it is by grace through faith in the work of Christ alone, resulting in right standing before God. All people will face final judgment: believers to eternal life, and unbelievers to eternal punishment in hell.

The Church - We believe the church is the body of Christ, consisting of believers who meet locally for worship, growth, and service to God, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences.

Christian Life - We believe God has called all people to a holy, loving, relational life with him and the Church, to a life of righteousness, good works, and separation unto God from the evil ways of the world.

Gender - We believe God immutably creates each person as male or female. These two, distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God, and the one who denies one’s biological sex denies the created image of God.

Marriage - We believe God designed marriage as a unique covenantal relationship joining one man and one woman in a single, exclusive, life-long union. God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and woman joined in marriage.

Human Life - We believe God endows all human life with inherent dignity at every stage of development. The unjustified, intentional taking or devaluing of human life before or after birth  is sinful and offensive to God. All life has value and importance to God and compels the believer to have compassion for all. This inherent dignity is the basis for teaching, loving, and serving our students.
